The Urban Greenery Fair included realistic models of actual historical buildings in Yokohama using small flowers and plants as bushes and trees. The actual Diplomat’s House was built in 1910 for a Japanese diplomat, and was one of 40 houses designed by U.S. architect James McDonald Gardiner.
