二宮尊徳（金次郎）

Came across this statue of Sontoko Ninomiya, who was more commonly known as Kinjiro Ninomiya, and was a famous agrigcultural reformer, philosopher of Shinotoism, Buddhism, and Confucianism, and grew up to become a wealthy farmer and a financial advisor to the feudal lord of what was later renamed to Odawara. His birthplace is here in Kayama, Odawara.

Night Flowers

Took these pictures of some flowers in the neighborhood at night during a late-evening stroll.

To get the lighting on these shots, I lit up the flowers with a small flashlight, and then took the picture using an iPhone with the flash turned off.

Mt. Fuji

We were very lucky today! For the first time in a long time, the clouds finally cleared up and I got a great view of Mt. Fuji. I wish I had a DSLR at the time, but had to make do with just an iPhone.
