Itachi Dog IV

Waiting again for me to play with her.

And she jumps, splashing water like a kid in the tub.

Time for a break?

In this shot, she is looking at the carp swimming by.

I don't understand the purpose of her shaking off the water while she's in the water!

Luckily today, the water was cleaner than usual.

I love how the green vegetation on the banks reflects off the water's surface.

I think Dale is in dog heaven!

If the dog could smile, then this would be her smile!

"What is the hold up? Splash me some water now!"

The same, wet, drippy tongue that licks me all over the face when I come home from work.

I wish the water were a little bit deeper. I would like to see her do some actually swimming in this river.

Hydrophobia

This was as close as the water as she would get. In fact, she hates water and baths!

Seemed happier playing with the snail!

Took Dale to this River near the station about 15 minutes from home.

Usually after she jumps in the river, I splash water up into the air, and she tries to catch the drops of water!

Here she is waiting patiently for the next splash of water to shoot up into the air.

Varmints

Mary found a snail on the shoreline. Maybe this was the first time that she has ever been to a river.

She tried playing with it and tried to see if it was alive or not.

She listened intensely for some response. My guess was that the snail was still alive.

Since Miniature Pinschers were bred to catch rats and other small varmints on German farms more than a hundred years ago, it's nice to see her display some of her natural instincts.

Green Steps

Even though we are living in a rental house, the owner said that we are free to do any kind of yardwork or upkeep as we like.

As I take the dogs for their morning, afternoon, and evening walks, I look at all the different ways that my neighbors have done their yards.

I like how this homeowner has added some simple symmetry and greenery just in front of their steps leading up to the front door.
