Trunk Flowers

These look like peach tree or apricot tree blossoms. Not really sure. Love the star-shaped centers of these blossoms.

Typical delicate cherry tree blossoms. So beautiful and fragile.

Some blossoms just poke right out of the side of the trunk instead at the end of the branch or limb.

Of course, this time of year is still too early to come out of a winter sleep for some species of trees.

Would love to understand why bamboo can have very different tones while in the same grove at close proximity.

Reminds of me of some marbled ice cream I had when I was a kid.

Night Cherry

Same shots of the cherry trees at the bus stop I was at yesterday.

iPhones are not the best devices for low-light shots.

Kiss Blossoms

An old Japanese house at the bottom of a hill right next to a major thoroughfare near the Yokoyoko Highway. I like how their house is located in a prime, convenient location for either using public transportation or just driving somewhere, yet secluded by a hill in the back and traditional style wall in front.

The family that lives here takes real good care of the yards, trees, and shrubbery.

Morning dog walk while enjoying the different neighbors beautiful homes.

A great, sunny day with a rainbow of blossoms to catch your eye.

I love taking shots of bamboo regardless of the season.

Time to go home and wash my face!

Bus Stop

Dainty blossoms just on the other side of a canal. These shots were taken at the bus stop on the way to work in the morning.

I prefer the pinkish cherry blossoms, but the white ones are nice, too.

Hanging

Strange looking blossoms hanging down like a vine. Am always surprised with what new things you can find early in the morning during a dog walk.

These shots were taken with an iPhone.

Steel Grass Chigasaki

The dog run is located under an elevated expressway.

The rain that leaks off from the roadway creates a shiny, blackish-green stream of slime down the cement arch supports.

Encased steel box girder for the elevated highway.

Steel support structure for the elevated highway.

Anchor cables for the highway.

Just a street lamp over the expressway.

Love the light tone and flowing motion of this grass near the dog run.

Feel sorry for the designer of these street lamps. Bet they never imagined how popular of a roosting spot they'd be for local fowl like pigeons and crows.

Shiba Sumo

First time to visit a dog run. A bit small, but clean, cheap, and at least she can play with other dogs without worry of some other owner freaking out.

Her new friend, a Japanese Shiba breed.

Playing tag with her friends.

Lots of fun to watch her run freely without a leash.

I guess you could say they are playing sumo since we are in Japan.

Quick turn on a dime!
